Whether you've been in the industry for years - or simply starting out with OhSoSmall, we've compiled some information that will come in handy should you wish to maximise your opportunity in securing work.
It's not uncommon for castings to come in at extremely late notice, in some cases, we will receive a brief less than 24 hours before production is scheduled to shoot with our actor. It is for this reason that it is vital that your credit history, skill set, measures, reference images, DBS certificate and passport are all up to date on our system.
Please check this page regularly to ensure you're up to date with the latest industry requirements.
We offer all our actors the chance to update their images on our website via free headshot sessions at our studio base in Wales. We also hold registration weeks at least once a year in Pinewood Studios for our UK actors. If you are unable to attend, or you're based in the US and other territories, we ask that you send over a set of reference images, this should be done by all actors at least once a year, or following any appearance alterations such as hair dye/ body transformations.
You should take two reference images:
- One headshot style image, against a plain white wall with natural lighting and no pattern backgrounds.
- One full length style image, against a plain white wall with natural lighting and no pattern backgrounds.
Both images can be taken on smartphones and must be unedited.

Our website is just a small part of the information we provide to casting directors and AD's when it comes to securing work for our actors.
We hold files across our system which include any additional headshots, showreels and full resume/CVs.

Renewed passports and other information can also be sent to lisa@ohsosmall.com
A Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) is the term used for the analysis and record of a person's past, looking specifically at any convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings they may have received.
From the 1st January, 2016, all workers must hold a valid DBS certificate if they are to be considered to work on a production/project that involves minors.
Valid DBS certificates should be sent to dbs@ohsosmall.com

We've linked some useful third party websites and applications that we often recommend.
A simple app to scan and .PDF documents from your iPhone. Fantastic when NDA's need to be signed at short notice.
Our preferred way of receiving self-tape auditions and showreels.
Files are secure and no need to worry about file size.
We recommend securing a Skype username.
Our actors have auditioned and spoken with directors / casting teams using the app.
If you're a member of spotlight, you'll need to add OhSoSmall as your agent.
